Massive Clearance Sale

The tables groaning with all the wonderful fabrics we have put our for our clearance sale. We have hundred of fabrics $15 and under. It was lovely to see everyone who came by. Four patch frolic - what fun!

We just got this book in today. It is FULL of scrummy delicious designs by Barbara Groves and Mary Jacobson of Me and MSister Designs. Judy and I poured over it when it came in.

This beautiful book is packed full of ideas of what to make with charm packs and layer cakes.
It has fourteen lovely projects that are easy to make and look so great! What do you think about this stunning one - it's made from America Jane Recess fabric.
After seeing all the beautiful quilts. We had a lovely play with the Me & my Sister pre-cuts for a little while. We have Clementine, Spring Fever and Birdie currently available.
Judy couldn't resist and disappeared with a Spring Fever and a sugar Jelly Roll. I wonder what she will come back with! Which one would you choose?

Two Beautiful Books

It's been a busy week for us this week. Judy and I sat down and organised the Term 4 Classes. We have a fabulous selection this term, from the very basics of making patchwork blocks through to a fabulous Masterclasses by Sue Daley. Sue is known for her beautiful English Paper piecing and Needleturn applique. This is her only Sydney class this year.

We have had two lovely books arrive this week. Baskets in Bloom from Gail Pan Designs and A Stitch in Time by Rosalie Quinlan.


Baskets in Bloom is filled to the brim with beauitful quilts and stitcheries all featuring baskets.

What a fabulous range arrived this week - Authentic by Sweetwater. Fun newsprint, word play, dots and stripes available by the metre
Here is the word play covered with words: authentic, simple, real, fresh, original, true, pure & natural- Judy has used the black in the border of her quilt - doesn't it look great. I think the cream on cream would be a great background.

With a black, tan & lime palette it is so lovely and fresh and for any modern project. It will be perfect for guys, teens and kitchen projects.

New Jinny Beyer Fabrics and Giveway

The latest update to the Jinny Beyer palette arrived came in last week and we spent the weekend loading it up. 40 beautiful new tone on tone fabrics in the rainbow collection of 150 fabrics in all colours of the rainbow. You can see them all here or subscribe to our Jinny Beyer Fabric club to receive a lovely selection of the rainbow every month.

To celebrate we are having a giveaway of 20 fat eights from Jinny Beyer Palette. To enter just put an comment telling us you favourite piece (or two)from the palette. Beautiful New Jelly Roll Quilts

Judy has been at it again with two beautiful new quilts. If you subscribe to Handmade you will have seen the pattern for Spinning Stars. We have kits for this stunning quilt here. It is a fun, easy to make quilt, great as a Christmas Tablecloth, but no so Christmas that you couldn't use it another time.

The yardage for Authentic by Sweetwater arrived on Tuesday. This means we can now offer Judy's Real Man quilt. This quilt is perfect for guys (hence the name) or as a teen quilt. The contemporary colour palette of natural, black and sprout adds a spark to the - numbers, newsprint, hand drawn flowers and word play prints give this collection all-around appeal.

There is a really cute pattern at the bakeshop for a tablerunner.

Funky times on land and sea

Two very cute ranges from Moda arrived this week. Happy Camper and Odyssea. Happy Camper is the latest offering by American Jane's Sandy Klop.

Have you ever walked across a creek or river on a bouncing 2 x 6 board? It doesn’t take long before your feet are wet. Playing near the water creates the best memories of summer for everyone. They’ll come flooding back when you play with this new fabric line. You’ll be able to hear the water splash and the birds chirping in no time and maybe even catch a fish.

We have cute charm packs, jelly rolls and layer cakes plus some lovely fabrics: cute mini-dots, striking plaids and lovely daisys and cute little flowers.

It's our Birthday

It is hard to believe that just three years ago we started our on-line store. Wow have we grown! We will be celebrating this month with lots of fun competitions, giveaways, a huge on line sale and for the first time ever we will throw open our doors for a massive clearance sale at the the end of the month.
