A Weekend Away

The year is flying so fast I can't believe it!. Next week is the end of Thomas's first term at Kindy. Judy has been getting ahead on cutting our kits and I have been busy catching up on the backlog of yummy yummy fabric to be loaded up.

We went away last weekend with Mum and Dad to Canberra. The boys had such fun at the Questacon. There is this fabulous section there called MiniQ designed for the under 6's. We spent hours in there.

Tragic News

Griff Ennion, the manager of Logans Patchwork was killed in a biking accident this week. For those of you who have been to any of the big Craft Shows, you would have seen Griff working at the Logan's Stand. Always charming, helpful and friendly - he will be sorely missed.

His vision for Australian patchwork and his energy to bring that to fruition will be sorely missed throughout the patchwork industry. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time.

Busy Busy + a winner

With Craftfest as a motivator we were all busy finishing projects so it's time to do a bit of show and tell!

Judy has been busy finishing her So Quick So Fresh Quilt (above) and has now polished off not one but two quilt as you go projects one using Monsters in the closet fabric (below) and the other is a beginners shaggy snuggle quilt (top).

Kristy has raided the Hot Ribbon and the Pretty Peacock fabric to put a beautiful wallhanging together.

I have even managed a bit of time to get my American Primer Quilt a little further on.

Plus we have a winner for last month's competition - Skippy can you send me your snail mail address because every softies job is to keep the bad dreams away!

Craftfest Fun

The last four days we have been having a ball at Craftfest at Homebush Olympic Park. Set up was on Thursday. It is always a fun day (if somewhat exhausting). I get amazed at the change in the venue from the morning to the evening - how it transforms from a empty shell to a space full of so many delicious craft treats. This was no exception. Here are Chris and I with it all set up.

I had ordered new shelving for the show so Judy and I had some fun working out how it all went together. Once we had it looked great!

The three days were so much fun. Thank you to everyone who came and visited. It was lovely to meet you.
