Something for Everyone

It has been as busy few weeks (isn't it always). We have had so many yummy ranges come in. Firstly there was the beautiful Aviary.

This has lovely soft tones of pinks blues and greens - such pretty fabrics! There is also a lovely bird print that would look superb a the feature print in the centre of a block.
For the girls there is the whimsical Whispering Glen.
This delightful range is by Debbies Beaves and features the prettiest watercolour fairies and divine bouquets, pretty stripes and charming co-ordinates.
For the guys we have Space Ranger. This is for serious fun. There is a panel, a book, border and co-rodinates which all have glow-in-the-darks stars.

How cool is that! The sky has been very popular in that range so if you are making a nightime quilt make sure you grab some before we run out!
It must be time for a giveaway so leave us a post abot your favourite Easter Project and you never know what the easter bunny might bring on Sunday morning!

My favourite project over Easter would be eating chocolate and spending time with my family.

Good Friday is always a quiet family day for us. Hubby plays board games/playstation with the kids, and I get to sew to my heart's content! There might be more than a couple of Hot Cross Buns consumed too!

My favourite Easter activity has always been the family getting together for a picnic or barbecue and sharing in all the delights of home made baked goodies. We also play "decorate and crack the egg".
We all have 2 hard boiled eggs each, which we dye pretty colours. The we pair off to hit our eggs against our opponents. Once your egg is cracked, you are out. We continue swapping opponents until anly one person has an uncracked egg. They are then declared the Champion Good Egg for the year!
Sounds silly (and it is) but good fun with lots of laughter!

Of course, I will also be doing some crafting over the break. I always enjoy that!

Our Easter project this year is to get the garden into some kind of order, in the hope that it will rain soon. The weather is perfect for being outdoors.

(sorry, my original post had some errors, and I couldn't edit it)

Our youngest daughter is coming home for easter, and it's the first easter for our grand-daughter.
So we'll be spending some quality family time together; a bbq, baking fruit buns and finding where the easter bunny has hidden all the eggs ;-)
We'll also be missing those who can't come home for easter, and thinking of those who no longer have a home...

All the outdoor things that I had planned will be a washout according to the weather forecast. So change of plan. Finish one quilt, start a new stichery thing and visit my grandson (his first Easter.

I will be finishing off some very funky bunny softies tomorrow. I'll then enjoy giving them to the god-daughters and nieces over the weekend! Yay!

Our eldest daughter is coming to stay on Saturday night with her three children 4, 2 and 1 so that they will be here early for the Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday morning. This would have to be my favourite Easter activity. I love taking photos of the children hunting for the eggs and use them in scrapbooking layouts. I am also looking for I Spy fabrics as I am making my grandchildren a quilt each - 2 boys and 1 girl. I just love the new Whispering Glen fairy fabrics and the space fabric looks great so will be spending time over Easter checking out fabrics on the internet for these quilts. Can't spend too much time on the internet as need to get some stitching done also. Hope everyone has a safe and happy Easter.

Spending that special time with those you love is always the best thing about Easter. Chatting and catching up and sharing all those special moments. Nothing can compare with that.

Quality family time is always a priority and a prayer for those less fortunate at this very special time. As we wont be going away this Easter due to the fact I am going in for surgery in 3 weeks, I will be spending some time preparing stitcheries and hand quilting pieces I can complete whilst I'm laid up.

I'll be finishing my first ever Quilt and just hanging out at home.
Wishing you all a Happy and safe easter.

With the kids away for the whole of easter this year I am treating myself to a well deserved sewing fest. Yay for me. Watching lots of DVDs, hand quilting and a big bowl of chocolate within arms reach at all times. Does it get any better!!!!!

Having BBQ fish on good Friday with all the family here and watching the grandkids and youngest daughter (we have a yours, mine and ours combined family!) find the eggs I've hidden for our easter egg hunt on Saturday morning.
